Fonsecker is working on improving the onboard sounds of Team GSMF’s Porsche 997 GT3 Cup for rFactor, creating an even more realistic flat-6 engine sound.
Below is a new preview video, showing the 997 GT3 Cup at Mid Ohio. Make sure to turn the volume up, especially during the fantastic downshift-sounds.

Sounds are definitely getting better. Really adds to the overall feel of a mod when the sounds are as good as the graphics and if you get physics to match it will be played for ages.

Damn good sounds, wish they could do this also for GTR2 and Evo.
Because it’s always Rf with the best sounds, is there a reason for this phenomenon imo… ?

Exactly why rFactor is still my predominate racing sim. I don’t even think NFS:Shift will top that.
I’m still hoping rF2 will take it one step further though and completely rid the tell tale signs of synthetic sounds from the outside. That, or much longer samples.

Some zinging sounds there.
Yeah rF2 really needs to be more able to cope with the talents of the modders so they are not so limited.
Nice work from Fonsecker once again.
