Nvidia GTX680 Video Review

Seahawks1Fan has released his interesting video review of the Nvidia GTX680 graphics card.

While graphic card reviews are widespread on the net, this one is a little different as it focuses on the needs of sim racers and tests the card with the latest sim racing titles, including rFactor 2, iRacing and Project CARS.

If you like the work he has done to produce this review, consider voting for him at Inside Sim Racing to become Fanatec community tester.

Nice vid but i would prefer him Promoting the GTX 590 (my bady) for Sim racing rigs.
Its a powerhouse built for triple mon awesomeness.

The GTX 590 is no more available. The next dual GPU monster will be the GTX 690, perhaps announced next month.

The HD7990 will be another monster but I prefer nVidia for drivers support.

A single car on an open empty track isn’t much of a test… and why not compare all three that way?

Was you still using SoftTH for rfactor 2 with this card? or just the multimonitor option?

  • J Lang

I was using SoftTh for rFactor 2.  I had the best luck with version 1.09.

I have not had a chance to test iRacing with a full grid at this point.  I did test pCARS with a full grid of 20 and frame rates dropped, but only by about 5/sec.

  • Eric Erps

When you get a chance can you let us know what your average frame rate is in iRacing with a full grid?

Also spa with and without a full grid.

    Thanks and great job!!

Due to the limitation of HDMI, it does not have enough bandwith to run at real 120Hz. You can only run real 120Hz using Dual Link DVI or Display Port, thus why nVidia already said the 3 monitor solution is only stuck at 60Hz.

If you have 3 real 120Hz monitor you might want to use the 7970 instead.

But then again I am using a GTX680 myself :p
