Here is something on a mod that is in development for quite a while but I missed to cover it yet. Dedios was not the only one working on a VLN mod for rFactor as Team NLC is currently working on a detailed reproduction of the 2005 season. The year 2005 was a remarkable year for VLN racing as the now famous Alzen “Alien” Turbo Porsche rocked the Nürburgring Nordschleife and the series back then.

The famous Alzen Porsche is only one car of a big field as the VLN features grids as big as 200 cars per race. Plenty of those will be included in the mod, ranging from powerful Turbo Porsches to itsy bitsy tin tops such as Renault Clios. Team NLC has an eye for details, trying to create every car in its unique way. The VLN and its rather open rules feature plenty of oddly-shaped wings and aero parts which will be included in the mod for full VLN flavour.

Below are plenty of preview shots made by famous screen maker 6e660. The screens are somewhat of a 2-in-1 affair as they also feature new textures for the Nordschleife 2.0 which will be released as part of the 2.1 update later this year.
