NLC VLN 2005 Mod – Alzen On-Board Video

The NLC 2005 VLN mod will bring the 2005 season of the Nürburgring Endurance Championship to rFactor. The VLN accommodates well over 100 cars each race, from nimble tin tops to mighty turbo-powered Porsches – All racing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Sounds crazy? It very well is, and now you can get a first taste by watching 6e66o’s video below. The video puts you in the passenger seat of the 600hp Alzen Motorsport Bi-Turbo Porsche, chasing the GETRAG BMW M3 on the Nordschleife. The only problem is some “minor” traffic to master – Enjoy!

    We haven`t thought about a GTR2-Conversation yet, because we don’t have the time to do it.
    A high-quality-conversion would be a huge project, because of that it should be done by some experienced guys.
    Let`s wait if there will be some volunteers for this.

    In my opinion GTR2 isn`t the best platform for a VLN-Mod, because of the poorer perfomance and some lacks in thy physic-engine, compared to rFactor.

    Great mod, really looking forward to it, the cars look like a lot of fun.

    BTW was the other traffic AI or human online drivers? They looked amazingly human and held their line as they were being passed, whereas my usual experience with Rfactor AI is them doing something stupid as I am trying to pass them, the better AI being one of the reasons I usually choose to drive GTREvo over Rfactor or GTR2 nowadays offline except for awesome mods like this or F1-1979…

    Every car you see in this vid was AI, except of the Porsche
    I know, the rF-AI was always criticized, but in my opinion it`s not worse the GTREvo-AI. It`s just a matter of how much work the modding-teams want to invest in the AI.

    Thanks Weischschon, sounds like I need to give RF another chance when it comes to the AI, glad to see that this mod gives the AI a good bit of attention, looking forward to it.
