Nissan GT Academy Documentary

With the Dubai 24 Hour race in the books and Nissan’s GT Academy programme coming to an end, a very interesting documentary has been released, showing the competition’s final knockout at Silverstone.

The GT Academy started as online time-trial in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, the quickest drivers were invited to prove their driving talents on the British track. Lucas Ordoñez and Lars Schlommer ended up getting the Dubai drive after what was a series of tests in terms of driving, fitness, teamwork and more.

Really nice videos! A dream come true for every sim racer out there. Looks like a tough but very exhilarating experience. Just imagine if they did the same kind of competion with rFactor or GTR2… Probably half of the winners from each country would already be semi-pro race drivers.

iRacing has released first screenshots of Brands Hatch, the second European track to make it into their online racing simulation.
