Back in late 2008, Nissan & Sony hosted the first GT Academy, giving Gran Turismo racers the chance to prove themselves first in the driving game and then in real life. The winners of the competition, Lucas Ordoñez & Lars Schlommer, got to compete in the 2009 Dubai 24 Hour race.
Now, Nissan has confirmed a second installment of the contest which is promised to be even bigger than the first one. This give virtual drivers a rare chance to prove that lots of driving talent can be found in the community. Lucas Ordoñez has made most of the chance he’s been giving, recently scoring a podium finish at the FIA GT4 round at Silverstone.
