About two weeks ago, Black Bean Games announced that they´ve secured the World Rally Championship rights to bring a new WRC game to gaming consoles and the PC.
MCVuk.com reports that Black Bean Game’s first WRC title is set to arrive on the Playstation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC in September 2010. The title will be developed by Milestone who claimed to want to match Codemasters’ recently-released Dirt 2 rally game. Given the fact that Dirt 2 isn’t exactly the most realistic rally title, it remains to be seen whether or not the new WRC title will be a true simulation that can replace the aging but still excellent Richard Burns Rally.
Either way, Black Bean Games effort will most likely not be a one-year deal as the company is looking to establish a long-term relationship with the championship. Until 2005, Sony held the WRC license, producing several rally titles that were limited to the Playstation platform.

I don’t want to swear … but
Black Bean? Every Game from them is the biggest Racing Game S*** seen so far..
Please not Black Bean…
Only if you create a real Simulation like RBR with nice graphics, which I don’t believe because every game was arcade s*** …

The makers of RBR went bust. The makers of Colin McRae are still going strong. No one is going to make RBR2 I’m afraid.

Exactly D.W. They probably would only sell 20 or 30 thousand copies of a new version of RBR. They got make some thing with allot of flash and pazaz. That can be marketed. The best Sim’ers can hope for is Black Beans best interpetation of realistic physics.

Sigh, Black Bean means shit. Superstars V8 was one of the worst games I’ve played and you can already find them in the €5 baskets…
Uff

Because it was meant to be a low price product.
Superbike 09 is quite good and comes from the same developers: we can only hope they will release something closer to SBK09 in terms of quality (maybe with all its problems fixed), rather than to V8.

Remember their previous games are “crap” because they are low budget games. Budget games have very little chance of being much good. Everyone has to start somewhere.
If they give this game a decent budget then we’ll finally see what they’re capable of.

Bust means gone bankrupt, ceased to trade, no longer able to pay their bills.
The man behind RBRs physics now works for SMS – developer of NFS Shift.
Back on topic, Milestone (Blackbeans usual developer) have a patchy past. Recent tiles do seem very weak. The Screamer titles and the EA SBK titles were very good for their time. Maybe the talent has moved on?
