I know that many people had problems with the old gallery system and the lightbox not being able to cover the advertising banners. Those issues are fixed as I have switched to a new gallery system.
What sounds easy was pretty much eight hours of work, changing over 500 content-items by hand. But I don’t want to complain as everything works flawless now, the new system is much quicker too :)
I´ve tested the new gallery with Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer and Safari and there are no problems at all. The only glitch can be seen in IE6 where the site gets aligned to the left once you click on a photo.
I have not found a way to resolve it, it does not negatively affect browsing the site though and is gone if you click the next link. If you use IE6, I can only recommend to switch to Firefox or at least IE7 as the 6 version is a webmaster’s nightmare – The sooner people stop using it, the better.
The new system also brings a new feature, dynamic resizing. Images that are bigger than your current resolution will be shown resized, you can access the full resolution image by clicking the link under each image. If you spot a bug ( I sure hope there is nothing to spot ;) ) please drop me a line.

Cool. I have one issue still…the image always shows up under the Weather Forecast on the top right side. Using Firefox 3 beta 5.

Thank you so much – I was kind of annoyed when the advertising kept coming on top of the pics. I thought it might was to please the advertisers – anything for keeping this site up :D
