netKar Pro – First Rain Preview Video

Two weeks ago, Kunos Simulazioni first announced that wet weather racing would soon be added to their netKar simulation.

Now, a first preview video of the new feature has been released, showing the Fiat Abarth 500 racing with the alpha version of the rain feature on.

Recently, a new version of netKar Pro has been released, introducing the KS2 open-wheeler and various physics improvements.

Impressive. I like the water puddles on the track. :)

  • jonneymendoza

looks rubbish. rfactor 2′s is much better and GT5 is about to set the benchmarkf or rain racing

  • O11

    Your mom looks rubbish.

  • jens

lol, I thought it’s the Need For Speed which is going to set the benchmark.

this will be a FREE upgrade realized for a 4-years-old racing simulator that is still officially supported by the dev-team with free updates. It’s simply stupid to expect that a 4-years-old graphics engine could be re-drawn from the dust only to add a new feature. And, above all, you should think about the fact that in a phisic-core simulator as netKar PRO is, the graphics stuff about rain/wet condition isn’t the most important feature to focus on.

  • Hoshi

This is an alpha build. You did not see rf2′s raineffect in motion, so you fail in being objective

  • Ricoo

RF2 rain effects seemed less natural. :-P

  • Cody

Well I can just imagine how hard it must be to keep the car on the track now giving that you have to have super natural powers to drive it in the dry. Many will compliment the physics but my normal street car is easier to drive around a real track than a race car in netKar Pro.

  • Notorius

I don’t know what kind of rubbish you usually manage, for sure you aren’t a genuine simracing fan. This graphics stuff looks so natural for me.  The strange thing would be if rfactor2 doesn’t appear better, considering that will be a 2011 game, netKar PRO has been released in 2006. However, wet conditions in netKar pro is a GIFT that anyone here didn’t expect to have until a couple of weeks ago: wet conditions ARE NOT included in R-factor, LFS or in iRacing, it will be instead in netKar PRO. I think we should be simply happy for this xmas gift. ;)

  • Nestor Martin

Wet conditions + 3 new cars, all free!
And still some are not happy!

    Get a life! 8-)

I know Jonney from another forum and you are the same there aint you Jonney always decides on a game being good or not by the graphics. He should know what i think of NetKar as i bang on about constantly and i agree graphics don’t make a sim good or bad they are just the icing if they are good. This will be a great addition to NetKar and the F1800 is gonna be crazy in the wet. Yes, rFactor2 looks good but as someone has pointed out it will be released on 2011, this is now and for me that looks very good and natural and while rFactor2 looks good i wonder how good the open wheel physics will be compared to this as no sim i have played can touch NetKars tyre model, it’s sublime

  • whosyo

it looks like much better than old granpa isi engine

  • GP4 racer

Its amazing, but nkpro its really hard to drive, just wondering how can be with rain,

  • Howie47

When iRacing implements rain, it will only work on computers that have H2O cooling systems! And those systems will have to leak.

  • Fuzzi0n

Was that an attempt at humour? If so you cocked that right up.

  • Howie47

Yea, it could have been better.  I should have reminded everyone that they said they wouldn’t include rain until they could make it “real”.

  • CAR

Super natural powers? :P Are race cars meant to be easier to drive than road cars? :)

  • Justin ForzaBarça D’Cruze

Well sir, call me superman then…..

And anyway, my cat could probably drive the abarth which is about the closest thing to a street car in NKP. The rest of the cars need smoother input to stay in shape but its hardly difficult.

  • Gilles da Silva

Don’t talk about GT1/2/3/4 or 5 in the same sentence as rFactor ~ one is a racing sim, the other is a strong candidate for an investigation by the Trades Description Act. “Real Simulator” my ass.
