Need for Speed Shift – Video Grab Screens

Posted on June 17th, 2009 in

Worthplaying.com has released a big bunch of Need for Speed Shift previews, grabbed from high resolution videos of EA’s upcoming racing title. The shots let us check out plenty of details that would not be noticed in the videos otherwise.

In related news, VirtualR reader Ian Busching was on site at the E3 expo and had the chance to complete several two-lap races in Shift. As many of us suspected, the game was running in full arcade mode with TC & ABS on, making it impossible to judge the physics by watching those E3 videos. Ian had a chance to talk to one of the developers who confirmed that the balance between arcade and sim was still worked on and physics may differ a lot in the final version.

Developed by Slightly Mad Studios (former Blimey! Games) and distributed by EA, Need for Speed Shift is expected to be released in September 2009 for the PC and all major consoles. A demo of Shift has been announced to be available this summer.

Looks nice, and it doenst look heavy :)

Its a perfect mixture, it has the EA touch with those driver profiles logos and the tuned cars, and the great quality of cockpits and race looking style from SMS.

Cant wait to play it :D

Can Mr. Busching elaborate on the experience? How did the game feel exactly?
