Funny how a lot of the people hating on this game have now shut up after these videos were shown, but they sure as hell come out of the woodwork to discuss the negative aspects of it.Trolls anyone? Anyways, Thanks for the post and the video Alan, the demo should be fun :D. Hope it includes more than 1 car and track.

Well the graphics look stunning, and the amount of detail they've put into the tracks is overwhelming, even to a degree where, at least on the Nordschleife, they added so many fictional ad boards and banners, that they forgot to add the freaking CASTLE!!!!

Hey Guys, Glad you liked the Nurburgring video, only had limited time on the game so had to try 1 lap with all assists off. Yes under braking I was surprised just how quickly the car went away from me, it was very hard getting any kind of feel of traction on the PS3 pad, would much rather test a wheel.

Sorry about the Facebook video, I will get a VVV Gamer video sorted out for the site soon. ;)

Well, that Nordschleife video proved PC Games to be wrong: you actually can spin a car in NFS if you lock your brakes and turn the wheel :sd:

Also, no GMotor game allows you change the wheel animation above 270. And my guess is that this game won’t allow that either (most don’t even allow you change it at all).
</blockquote>

You can set rFactor to what ever you want. No arms though.

Isn't rFactor gmotor? In rF you can change ingame wheel's rotation to whatever you like, I have it in 540 degrees, 'cause that's what I use for all sims in my G25.

And GTR2 automatically recognize your wheel's rotation, so it's always 1:1

Not that I’m expecting total realism from this game, but wow the tracks look horrible like that That said, the actual driving looks like fun and a big step up from previous NFS games. I’ll at least give it a rent if I don’t buy.
</blockquote>

totally agree, those ads look really awful

He actually spun out under braking and accelerating over kerbs! :grin:

Using their "creative license" excuse, I'd rather see an animated fairground on every track than have fake banners spoiling the road surface. Have no fear though, something tells me those simple textures will be modded out very shortly after release of the full game. :sd:

As far as I know the only sims with full arm animations are LFS and Project Torque.

</blockquote>

LfS is very good on the steering wheel but has no shift animation.

Also, no GMotor game allows you change the wheel animation above 270. And my guess is that this game won't allow that either (most don't even allow you change it at all).

Judging from the video's (finally we see the pro mode) I have to say I'm sort of looking forward to it. Hope to see the demo soon.

Looks very good. If you were comparing it to GTR2 it would, and definitely should, be more predictable and easier to drive most of the time. That has been the result of the progression in sim realism since then.
Those videos look pretty good to me.
Hopefully there will be a variable, like GTR2, to adjust the wheel rotation to match your wheel. It’s possible they don’t have the full rotation arm animations though, which is probably likely if by default you can’t go beyond however many degrees. Did GTL have full arm animations? I didn’t have a 900 degree wheel the last time I played it. Maybe we can turn the hands off. I can only imagine the PC version will be much more customizable than the console versions.
I have a lot of hope for Shift. The thing I still put the most faith in is the AutoSimSport interview with Ian Bell. Can’t know until we try it of course. :)
Yeah, where’s that demo already?

I cant see the Nordschliefe video in either Firefox or Internet Explorer.
I have updated Flash on both browswers and still they tell me I dont have the latest version.
Strange cos all the other videos on here work fine.
Sometimes computers are just mental.

</blockquote>

It's a Facebook video, try logging into Facebook first. Might work. :grin:

It’s a Facebook video, try logging into Facebook first. Might work.

This video also shows pretty decent driving around Spa (without driving aids):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTX-OfgfSlU

As I understand from the italian forum, where it's posted, the guy behind the wheel is very good sim racer, and also races for real. :happy:

The Laguna Seca video, posted here is theirs, and they promise to post videos with other tracks.
