Very nice cockpit & interior. I am hoping that somebody can improve the "porsche" cockpit for GTR Evo. similar to this.

Gotta love the photographer on the 8th screenshot!

I hope that shift is going to be an improvement over the GTR Evo and not only in graphics

At one time I didn't like 'tuner' race car's, instead sticking to official race car's like the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR and BMW M3 GTR V8. But then you see event's like the Nurburgring 24 hr's, VLN, Hillclimb's etc. and see all manner of 'tuner' race car's looking, sounding and performing great, so bring them on.

moppenheimer:

My issue is people are touting it as the next coming of jesus in the sim world, and so are EA…im sure it will be a good game, but in the end it’s not a true sim, and is aimed at the console crowd

So what? That's what the hype machine does. In the end, the guys that truly believed it would be all of their best dreams come true will have their hopes dashed to bits. That will teach them about hype far better than you or I could. And if they don't learn from that then there's nothing we could've said to persuade them otherwise anyway. Such is the fanboi. Seen this cycle too many times over the years.

MadCat360:
You can still strip the interior, add downforce, (racing) widebodies, free flow exhaust etc.
People need to lighten up a little bit about simulation. Not every game needs to strive for absolute, uncmpromising realism. There are plenty of games out there that do that very well.
NFS seems to be maturing, but it’s not going to be iRacing, nor should it try to be IMO. The sooner people accept this the sooner you can just take it for what it is and have fun with it. :)

carbonfibre:

It was confirmed that you can drive every car in it’s factory colour scheme or customize the appearance in racing camo. You can make adjustments to your car setup like tyres and springs too, but as for adding ugly body kits or upgrading turbo chargers I don’t believe so.
It’s grown up racing on tracks and I think the idea is to distance itself as much as possible from the street upgrade system the kids so love.

Actually you can upgrade from stock production car into full fledged racing car- from engine parts to body parts. Either for performance or just weight reduction. You can even remove the passenger seat(s) to further reduce weight and obviously you can replace both the seat and the steering wheel. Even the dashboard can be upgraded to Motec digital display.

Sensekhmet:
another NFS Shift car with weird looking roll cage. It doesn’t seem to follow the front roof pillars at all.

I've seen rollcage(s) on Porsche that sticks out more instead of lining up with the pillar. Here's an example: http://www.carfreaks.net/albums/ring052006/060522_1.jpg

YES. You cant (like in GRID one). Maybe it looks great and so on, but it's still NFS  (:

I hope for Anti-GRID physics: no more "break from 200 km/h to 5 km/h in 10 m and turn more than 90 degrees to right in same place" (like tank) (with DBR9) at Le Mans Virage de Mulsanne - it's so stupid
