Need for Speed Shift – Nissan Previews

EA has released two new previews of their upcoming Need for Speed shift title, showing two very different Nissan cars.

One shot includes the original Nissan 2000 GT-R which will probably be the oldest car in the game. The other shot shows the 1994 Nissan Silvia S14, sporting some custom parts.

Developed by Slightly Mad Studios (former Blimey! Games) and distributed by EA, Need for Speed Shift is expected to be released in Q4 2009 for the PC and all major consoles.

Interesting. If they’d include some European vintage cars (RWD Escorts, Mk1 Golf GTi, Renault 5 Turbo/Super 5 GT Turbo for example) it would be even better. :sd:

Still can’t believe Ian Bell sold his soul to the devil. Actually I can, because everyone has their price, but he really shouldn’t be telling huge lies and making insane claims like he is. I understand that he needs to sell copies of the game, but for christs sake, he already OWNS a Ferrari. How much money is enough? Is there no limit to what people will do?

Selling out is one thing, lying is another. I can understand being bought. Everyone wants to be rich, it’s not rocket science, but what I can’t understand is why Ian would lie to the one community that was responsible for his success.

Bravo Xilix! You won the contest for the most pathetic reply in this thread.
Try to find some REAL facts first kid!

The game isn’t even out yet already you’re passing judgement. The preview was done with the easiest setting so that everyone at the press event could see how the game might look. Here’s excerpt from one of the guys:
“…I got to drive around a beautifully modelled Road America track in a high performance sports car, yet found it to be a perfectly achievable. While a fan of racers like PGR and Forza, I’m by no means an expert, so for a moment it seemed as though I’d found our true calling in life as a race car driver. EA was quick to point out, however, that the car had been set up with all assists on, a massive breaking and racing line visual aid was painted on the track and that in fact this was the easiest the game could be. It was good news though really, seeing as a sim shouldn’t be easy. With all the aids on the game will still be a tricky proposition for novices, but with them off even the most hardcore sim fans will find a game that won’t be easily mastered.”
