Although the Spa track that they have used is the old version of the track, it’s quite good to see a mix of cars. I’ll have to wait for the demo to pass any judgement on how the game plays though. Of the previews I have seen, some have made me positive about it, others unsure about the ’simulation’ aspect.

It’s impossible to make a real simulator about such supercars with driving them with gamepad.
Only 5% of users or even less, i think, have a wheel. And not all of them want to see a real simulator from NFS. So why EA must made for them another Shift-game? EA knows that console simracers will prefer Forza 3 or GT5 or Race Pro
NFS is blockbuster…money rules the world
I wanna try a Shift with my G25 but I know that it will be funnier to play the game with gamepad..even with ABS, TCS etc enabling. It’ll be fun as GRID I hope. We need such games too, not only real hardcore-hardworking simulators

I just hope they’ll give us a ‘Realistic mode’ preview video, so I can decide if I should buy this game…

That’s right, we’ve seen everything I guess except “Pro mode gameplay video” some said that it’s way better than Race Pro.
It’s still a great game. I mean I want to play a new game already!! I’m sick of playing same games everyday.
Anyway, I give it. Gameplay 10/10. Graphics 10/10. Sounds 10/10. Overall 10/10 .. I have not seen anything on this game that I don’t really like. It’s really awesome.

Will this game ever be demonstrated with a wheel?
Wait – maybe they don’t support wheels yet…
I’ll wait for the demo to make my final judgment.

I’m sold on this one already. Obviously the physics are very good. Every one can’t be convinced they are sim no matter what. You just got to decided if they are your kind of sim physics. AS there is no consciences on what perfect physics are. Some like LFS, others iRacing, others nKpro still other GTevo or rFactor mods.

driving speed almost looks exaggerated.
Liked it when the zoomed in with the camera to give a more realistic camera view.

Another demo with a joypad….yaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwn…..
As soon as I saw him with the joypad I knew he was going to spin out at least once, crash at least once, and the steering would look jerky. Why can’t they get someone a bit more skilled with the joypad is beyond me, every single Shift video that EA has shown has displayed terrible driving, its pretty sad that I expected to see terrible driving. This was the perfect opportunity to show off Shift with a G27, along side GT5 and Forza 3 which were both playable with wheel and joypad options. But oh well, the marketing for this game has been terrible from the beginning, I’m hoping the demo comes with the Sim Mode option , unlike the GTR2 demo which only came with arcade mode.

and those in car screen shots! Aren’t they the best modeled interiors ever? I think so.

The driving with the gamepad looks horrible. It’s a permanent steer, countersteer, steer, countersteer, steer, countersteer, ……
After so many Shift gameplay videos, i wish one video with smooth wheel steering would exist.

“A demo of Shift has been announced to be available this summer.”
Move over people, there’s nothing to see…
I don’t believe that we get demo at all.

As for physics, the bad gamepad driving is perhaps a good thing because when someone new tries to drive rfactor/gtr’s with gamepad it’s looks similar.
And yes, you can drive sims smooth and fast with the gamepad but it takes a lot of effort and concentration and most important – proper controls setup. I use it sometimes for hotlaping, almost never for racing.

they could at least lay off the HDR bloom a lil bit and not make the picture look like your watching a movie.

This game has lots of action (Loud engine/trans sound/G-Force/Camera movement) I mean when I look at FM3/GT5 gameplay videos they are so boring (no offense).
I also find this game has some funny stuff when you crash you can hear the driver breathing hard .. I laughed at that.
******* Has anyone realized this? ” LAP WILL NOT COUNT ” *******

Any body else notice the tach in the middle of the Zonda steering wheel? Never saw that before. Watch the HD videos linked above.
