Need for Speed Shift – Mclaren F1 Previews

EA has released new previews of Need for Speed Shift, today we get to check out the Mclaren F1, one of the most popular supercars ever built.

Powered by a 6.1 liter BMW engine, the F1 was the first all-carbon composite production car and held the record for being the fastest production car until the Bugatti Veyron came along. The car also enjoyed major success in racing, winning the Le Mans 24 Hours and countless of other prestigious racing events.

Developed by Slightly Mad Studios (former Blimey! Games) and distributed by EA, Need for Speed Shift is expected to be released in September 2009 for the PC and all major consoles. A demo of Shift has been announced to be available this summer.

    It’s still another month to September. I believe it was announced that the demo will be out in early September although the game release date has been pushed forward to Sept 15 (from 22nd) which means that the demo might be out late August (hopefully).

    You can say what you want about this game, but one thing I now for sure: those interiors are among the best I’ve seen in any PC racing title…

    And consoles… those GT5 and Forza 3 cockpits dont look that good, IMO.

    Actually I think GT5P’s are the best, then Shift, Forza bringing up the rear, but like you said, to each their own.

    for pc gamers shift makes sense because simbin doesn’t make beautiful cockpits…..(lets hope that shift gets the simulation part right).

    And that bodykit makes the best looking car into an ugly one………why not just to make a Longtail bodykit?…..But not mixing the Longtail elements on a Shorttail body.
