This is 75 USD of free content by some games standards. These probably were not finished to make the publishing date.

I’d buy Shift again if they’d fix the input lag. But like that, no, not again…

Why do we never see Australian tracks any more? Even Codies have abandoned them. Surely Mt. Panorama at least deserves a run.

When I buy a newly released PC game I expect some bugs. When I buy a PC game which is released on time I expect more bugs. When I buy a PC game which has a new engine I expect even more bugs. My expectations have always been met :)

Producing the DLC will primarily involve vehicle modellers. Since the bugs with Shift don’t include vehicle model erros, the people producing the DLC will, on the whole, not be the people who are fixing the bugs. So don’t worry about DLC delaying bug fixes.

Really looking forward to this DLC. The physics will suit these old muscle cars perfectly.

Raikku: If they fix that ingame steering wheel rotation, which is number 1 problem, I don’t care anything else.

Was it you who posted that last time too?

They discussed this problem and said it could not be done with the current driver animations. To increase the range would require major work, sacrifice other fixes… something like that. Therefore the wheel will never be fixed for you, I’m sorry.

But what you can do (which is what I’m planning to do also) is mod out the driver hands and unlock full rotation of the wheel to be just like rFactor.
This mod already exists btw, I’m just waiting for patch #2 now.

But you can’t have full 900 degrees rotation with animations unless you want the hands to go through the wheel, it’s up to you.

Btw, a free DLC puts a giant tick under the “EA is awesome” tally. I can’t wait to hear these muscle cars grunt.

Are you saying that because some nice FREE dlc is coming that the makers AREN’T working to fix bugs ? Bearing in mind that they actually aren’t working for you personally which when reading your posts, sounds like you think they ought to be.

SMS have already listed the bugfixes for patch 2 and said that it is now in the testing phase, so we know its on the way. That’s about as good you’re going to get. If you’re not satisfied with that then too bad.

Shift works for most people though, so don’t go dictating what a game company can or ought to be doing or not doing. When you own one, then you can set your rules.

Tell you what though, if the DLC comes out before patch #2, what you can do is not download it until you have patch #2. Hold off on putting in the new cars and then you can have things arriving on your computer in the order you demanded it should be :)

It only says “coming soon” and the next patch will also be available soon, 10 days and it will be released ;)

kill4f00d: I think someone working on the Shift site jumped the gun. They really need to release the patch first before giving us any DLC. I do welcome it though as Shift really needs more cars.

I heard the patch should release at the end of this month so maybe 1 week later ?
