There is no photo mode in GT5 Prologue and GT5 is still in pre-alpha as well (hence why it's called Prologue).

to Mikem:

Compare it with ingame shots. Not with those from GT5 Photo Mod. Besides this is still pre-alpha stage

The London track (and the surrounding buildings) definitely looked better in GT5 Prologue and it doesn't use any motion blur to compensate for any low quality texture and rendering. My finger points directly at the 360 as the lowest common denominator especially after spending a few hours in Race Pro- a great sim with not so great visual. My bet is still on GT5 to be the best looking simcade racer.

No, you're not alone, it DOES look awesome !

It's just that everyone got so excited about the first "former simbin" "ex-blimey" slightly mad studios game to be a simulator...

And it's not quite one...

+1 XaliaS

NFS used to be a GT game... and GT cars would make the game more attractive to us (PC sim racers), because we don't have any GT sim racing game to compare it to on PC.

And as I said before, less powerful stock GT cars would probably feel more real even in a NFS game.

I really wish I didn't have to keep criticizing every new update about NFS:Shift, but those buildings look like they were rendered in a previous era, there as numerous graphical bugs on the cars (as pointed out already) and stretched textures doesn't look pretty.

If they can't properly reflect the detailed finish that most of these racing spec versions have I'd rather them go (back to) GT style - production line solid painting, which I prefer anyway, while it reduces the work load for the dev team and makes it look cleaner.

The grill on the RS4 looks a bit like the old DTM grill of the A4.

The real RS4 grill looks like this:

I don't like these cars at all. What have these pleb tuned cars to do with racing? Typical NFS cars for typical NFS customers...

Anyway, possible or not with a Porsche, it's in the gravel, so it's not a drift...

Copy of last comment on the other news:

they’re trying hard to make everyone think it will be realistic. Every preview I read shows the exact contrary. I mean, they’ve been putting efforts in shouting everywhere that SMS was composed of some former dev from SimBin, why do you think they did it?

To give themselves credibility in saying “yeah, it’s going to be a simulator”.

When it’s obviously none…

Damage system seems to be a joke from what I’ve read, no weather system, collisions are a joke too, and physics might “bluff” a noob, being more difficult that the usual arcade racing game, so i guess that’s why I read that the physics seem good on some previews by “not-simracers-journalists”.

I’m scared of that game. I’m scared because I was really hoping it would be as cool to drive as it was to look at.

Hmm, is it just me or is the grill of the Audi just a texture rather than being modeled? Regardless, still looking forward to this game. Emphasis on game.
