Than you didn’t search at all pleb. Take a profile which is gated. G25 gated or Fanatec gated.

Day by day I feel the game better and it’s quite addictive. Physics are difficult but manageable. I miss some bumps in oval track when going from inside plane road to outside. I miss some other things such as real damage and materials degradation of course and manage setups and be able to get a setup after a race. I hope EA add more functionalities.

Great game in any case and very fun and adictive.

Its only happening because you are forcing NVidia to use a different preset profile.
Might be more sensible to create a new profile for Shift to match GTR’s.

i was hoping that it might be fun with some fixes. i installed the patch, applied the custom ffb settings (which are indeed a huge improvement)… but still the driving model just sucks §”$%$&/alls! understeer, oversteer, understeer, oversteer, … and nothing in between.

this is the last time i’ve wasted my time with this POS. they claimed shift would set a new benchmark in physics and that there’s a tire model more accurate than anything else. i’d like to sue sms for those claims as they were just all-out lies!

PS3 guys a patch just came out…

nightshade420: you know what? you pc players need to shut your mouths and stop complaining i joined this forum because i was looking if anybody had mentioned any tuning problems and find out people are having the problems i am and being able to game on a pc is way more expensive than buying a ps3 or 360 and therefore less common yet you are the first to recieve patch but still complaining? makes me sick to my stomach, almost brought a tear to my eye cuz i was so excited for it that id give up 70 bucks to my play it the day it came out only to realise i had been cheated once again by ea …wheres the damn ps3 patch huh? when will ea realize its not always about the money or compitition but actually making a game to the fullest of thier abilities with the actual gamers experience in mind???!!!

Well there are in fact some tunning problems, but if you tune the car with more oversteer and more grip it will be more stable.

Its ridiculous when you console players say “oh paying for a PC is way mroe expensive than a console”.

You’re wrong (period). I payed 500 euros with mine and I can run about everything maxed out (without graphic lag yes) and Im able to to other stuff not just playing (we pay for that aswell) ^^

Try running in win98/me compatibility mode.
Also for any with ATI issues you can try that as it worked for me. I also noticed some improvement by disabling Catalyst AI in CCC.
BTW my loading times actually INCREASED with this patch.

This does not work for my system. But at least i can play as long as i don’t touch the shadow settings.

Same here.
After a week’s play I’m starting to enjoy Shift!
It’s a shame you need to put some effort into tweaking the controller setup,
I really think SMS/EA shot themselves in the foot here.
