free2game365:
Most of the stuff that came out after the release of Burnout Paradise didn’t make it on to the PC, the big surf island among other things. ME2 and DA are made by Bioware, so they’re actually dedicated to their PC people and they set up a DLC system for their games. Shift doesn’t have an in game DLC system on the PC so I think it will end up like a lot of EAs other console to PC ports and not make it up if it ends up as paid DLC.

Its simple, those developers that have a great history with PC Gaming do take care of the PC Gamers in terms of DLC and pro-release support but previously console only developers like Criterion released Burnout Paradise on PC not because they like us but because they wanted to promote their multiplatform game engine to other developers since all the Multiplatform developers were choosing to license the Unreal Engine 3 for their games. So Criterion being console developers wanted to give their console fans a something extra over the PC which was the DLC. Luckily for us Slightly Mad Studios have a Great PC History and I am 100 % confident they will not leave out the PC Gamers in favor of console kids, unlike Criterion. And Yes Mass Effect 2 is awesome and much better on PC.

Where do you get this from? They just put out a whole bunch for Mass Effect 2, they did some for Dragon Age, both with items available for PC before they made it to the 360 marketplace, they put some out for Mirror’s Edge, a whole load for Burnout Paradise, several others too IIRC.All available on PC.I mean bitch at EA all you like but damn dude, they put out the last lot less than a couple of weeks ago. It’s not like it’s hard to check..

That’s because they’re left over from development of the Ferrari Project game that they were doing before their publisher went under. My big issue is that this stuff will probably be paid DLC and paid DLC means it wont come out on the PC, because that’s the way EA does these things.

To make this game as Sim like as possible. Every car needs to be tuned into your steering wheel. Because the menus are not easy to configure, it is difficult to make your wheel tune in to each different car. Unless they make each car generic in response to impute; we are stuck with a complex config. That is the what we are stuck with, until a more perfect physics model is invented.

tool831: Just for information, NFS Shift 10 Ferrari’s have been in Shift since it was released. I have all textures in my game, the way Ive modified it. Everyone should know how to view those textures by now.The Car list:Ferrari F430
Ferrari 430 Scuderia
Ferrari FXX
Ferrari California
Ferrari 575 Superamerica
Ferrari F50 GT
Ferrari 599 GTB
Ferrari F430 Challenge
Ferrari F430 spider
Ferrari F430 16mI am not kidding around either. Everyone knows about seeing 3 Ferrari’s laying inside Shift.

carbonfibre: I tried absolutely everything to solve the problem minus reformatting.

For the the big issues with control kind of died by degrees -

1) installed 5.08 logitech drivers (I've seen on the forums that some people had luck with 5.01 too)

2) 9.12 cat arrived

3) shift 1.02 arrived

4) installed 7 final rather than 7-7100rc

Pre 9.12/win7 full one thing I found that helped out a lot was setting triple buffer on using d3doverrider and using flip queue size 0 using ati tray tools. But with 9.12/10.1 and win7 full it doesn't make any difference whatsoever to me whether I do that or just turn vsync off, other than choosing whether to look at torn frames or not.

I have to say "FFB is too strong" is a new one on me, generally the complaint about games tends to be that unless it's capable of ripping your arms out of their sockets it's just not good enough. That said I really don't know that given about 8 options (before you get to the controller file) to control FFB strength how you could not tone it down or make it respond to your liking.

Sometimes I think patch 1.03 should be a coupon at amazon to buy, I don't know, upgrading and repairing pcs 19th edition

zDToddy: I drive my car in real life at 120Km/h with my index finger, well i keep it straight on the road and even make small corrections while SHIFT’s FFB can rip your arms off.its just pain to drive, like a never-ending torture.

Did you at least decrease the FFB strengh ingame and/or logitech profile? ^^

Sensekhmet: There’s no question about Shift having unpredictable handling. You can’t be sure just what will happen with the car in a moment. A big part of this might be NO feedback of front tire slip (I alredy transferred all FFB to the front wheels in the config file: still can’t feel the front letting go). Also, some cars are STILL (meaning: after the patch) oscillating left-to-right on the straights. Those two things and AI behaviour take away from this great game for me.

Have you tried Juls sharper tyres + matts brake mod 1.1?

They were released at NG a few days ago and they make all the difference..

IF some of you have really problems ... maybe to fixated on gMotor 2 Games??

Yes, it steers a little bit different .. but if you can't drive a straigt line - could it be that tracks have bumps ? No Idea what are you doing, driving with hands away from your steering wheel? If so bye bye up to the next Tree (or where ever) - like in reality... (I don't speak from 25 KM/h with your twingo in town)

No word gMotor 2 Games driving is great but Force Feedback and the driving model feels to arcadish, easy after some SHift hours...

I'm not a tech expert to tell you whats exact the difference between gm2 and Shift, BUT Shift feels more realistic to me.. maybe gmotor 2 = boring, to good steering, really to easy...

Hard to tell but if you are able too look over the rim of a tea cup ... maybe then you are able to follow me, discuss without the "Shift is Arcade - only gMotor 2 is great bla bla"

Yeah can't hide it I'm a big Shift fan. But GTR2, rF, GTR Evo too!

 Is this a good sign as testing waters for the 'Ferrari Project'... or not? Anyway, for what 'Shift' is, this is a sign of good support from SMS.

...to continue the thought: the control reminds me of TOCA 3. I really liked this game, but it was always a struggle to keep the car straight. To the point of killing the enjoyment.

I'm happy for the SHIFT racers, but I also can't get the steering correct enough to enjoy the game. I've tried G25, G27, and Fanatec GT3 RS. GT3 is best, but it still doesn't control right. I don't have any problems with the other sims...even back to 1998's Viper Racing.

LWEMon.exe is version 5.08.146.

I just referenced the keypad/numpad at the time because it's a simple way of testing input lag ether by rotating the cockpit view on photo-mode or pressing look behind, etc. Anything that causes a direct change on screen really. It's only a small delay of about 300-500ms but its noticeable. Might have something to do with FFB I don't know -I'm keeping an open mind. I tried absolutely everything to solve the problem minus reformatting.
