Built by BMW Motorsport and raced by Rahal Letterman Racing, the BMW M3 is BMW’s weapon of choice in the ALMS GT2 class. Making its debut at the 2009 12 Hours of Sebring, the car has already clinched podium three podium finishes, driven by Dirk Müller, Tommy Milner, Bill Auberlen and Joey Hand.
Developed by Slightly Mad Studios (former Blimey! Games) and distributed by EA, Need for Speed Shift is expected to be released in September 2009 for the PC and all major consoles. A demo of Shift has been announced to be available this summer.

Liking it. The screens are getting closer to what I think it’ll look like on the consoles, there’s less AA in recent screens. Of course it looking this good on consoles is hopefull for us on PC
Also, I spy Donnington.

Hmmmm… the shifter linkage seem to go to the rear: is it a transaxle car?

Yep, the race version of the M3 uses a transaxle gearbox, the street version does not.

Everything about this game is oozing class.
It’s great to see the tracks looking alive with spectators and camera men etc. Though Simbins games look nice the marshalls etc look blocky and un-realistic, but this has much more life about the track and it looks good with it.
If this does drive well in Pro mode then it will be a gr8 Race Sim even if it doesn’t tick all the simmers boxes
