Need for Speed Shift – BMW & Lamborghini Previews

EA has released threee new previews of their upcoming Need for Speed Shift title, showing two cars that couldn’t be much more different.

While BMW’s 135i Coupe is a reasonably-priced 306hp sportive road car, the Lamborghini Reventon is a different kind of beast. Priced around 2 million dollars, only 20 examples of the Reventon will be build. Along with the car’s modern appearance, the car is controlled using a jetfighter-style head up display that resembles the FA 22 Raptor dashboard.

Developed by Slightly Mad Studios (former Blimey! Games) and distributed by EA, Need for Speed Shift is expected to be released in September 2009 for the PC and all major consoles. A demo of Shift has been announced to be available this summer.

    Shift really is stunning :eek: .

    If it really does handle in Full Sim mode like GTR2 as Ian says then this game will be hard to put down.

    Wont take me away from Simbins Sims as I love proper racing series and my League racing etc, but it will hopefully make an enjoyable alternative and possibly a glimpse into Sim racing future :happy: .

    Lol it does look like they are using the Photoshop blur, rather that doing it ingame?? take a good look around the spoiler on the 2nd image of the BMW

    Yeh, not the best previews ive seen for Shift. Overkill blur (hopefully it is photoshopped and not that bad ingame), poor choice of colour for the lambo, and the 135i is just plain ugly. But still looking forward to this game tho, most of the other screenshots look amazing!

    i do hope d cockpit of reventon wud b gr8….coz in d real case it really resembles a jet fighter cockpit.not so kicked wid dis BMW though+Lambo needs a bettr colour.

    There’s no colour on the Lambo :sd: No, flat black on that car is just perfect. Colour on that car would make it look rather garish.

    Whats the problem with the blur? If we photograph and focus on a car moving, it unfocus/blur the background.

    When it’s photoshopped to obscure how the game really looks, its a problem
