Need for Speed Shift 2 – PC DLC Release Confirmed

While EA has successfully released two paid DLC content packs for Slightly Mad Studios’ Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed on the consoles, PC racers are still waiting for the Legends Pack & Speedhunters content to become available for them.

Until now, there had only been confirmation that the upcoming second PC patch for Shift 2 Unleashed would add support for DLC content to the PC version. Now, EA has officially confirmed that the PC version DLCs are coming on their Facebook page:

For all our PC players, we JUST got official confirmation that the SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED PDLC will be available on PC! More details coming as soon as we have them.

Are they still working on a patch? When are they going to fix the kit cars’ front-wheel animation during replays? Don’t they have plans on making the AI’s aggression reasonable instead of the destruction derby AI we have now?

The driving is fun but the AI is not fun to race with. That’s why after finishing the career I haven’t touched this game again, unlike Race Series / GTR 2 wherein setting up the AI to the correct strength will always give good racing, non of that dodgeball action during the first lap.

… Heck, even F1 2010’s slow Legend AI is more fun to race with.
