NASCAR The Game 2011 – Release Delayed

Eutechnyx has announced that the planned February release of their NASCAR The Game 2011 title has been postponed to March 29.

Originally, the studio was aiming to release the title in time for the 2011 Daytona 500, both the start and the highlight of the upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup season.

The reasoning behind this move is to give the developers more time to publish the product as Eutechnyx community manager Gregg Baker explains:

“The main reason is we simply wanted more time to polish it, and hopefully make it the experience you guys are crazing. It’s never easy to delay a game, as it can cause a lot of disappointment, but we genuinely feel that by doing this you guys will be even happier with the end product.”

Developed by Eutechnyx & published by Activision, NASCAR The Game 2011 will include the 2010 & 2011 (post-release download) NASCAR Sprint Cup seasons. Features include a very detailed damage model, career mode & 16-player multiplayer mode. The title will be available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 & Nintendo Wii starting March 29.

If you’re missing the Daytona 500 here, iRacing is doing a full length race on the 17th.

surprised that its on on sale in north america, to me its unlikely that a pc version will be made if they feel thats the only market they could sell in in.
