NASCAR The Game 2011 – Feature List Revealed

About a month ago, I published a first story about a new NASCAR title from Eutechnyx to be released for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

And while official info on the upcoming title is still next to non-existent, first logo art and a feature list have surfaced.

Features:
- In-depth career mode
- 43 car grid
- Revolutionary damage model
- Roll overs and blow overs
- Extensive car set-up options
- Pit-stops
- Full motion captured pit crew and driver
- Tyre wear
- Tyre pressure/temperature which affects performance
- Tyre blow outs
- Brake wear
- Multiple car manufacturers
- Doug Rice and Mark Garrow doing commentary/post race analysis

Even though such feature announcements should always be taken with a grain of salt, it sounds like a proper stock car racing title is coming up here. NASCAR – The Game 2011 will be out in February 2011, no in-game previews of any kind are available yet.

    PC please! =/ :(

  • Mike Oppenheimer

Console should still be okay….but i would reeeeaaaaalllly like a proper PC version…

    Either way, sounds promising

  • NASCARguy1

Sounds great, lets hope the game delivers! EA Sports NASCAR games have sucked massively. So hopefully this is as good as it sounds.

  • zudthespud

    The game.

  • stabiz

How do they plan to do 43 cars on the consoles?

  • bouncebackability

i still play nascar racing 2003. so even if this was on pc, it would need to be a hell of a good game to beat that…

anyone who played Ferrari Challenge and Supercar Challenge knows how these titles are light years ahead of Forza 3 when it comes to simulation. Eutechnyx has got the best weight transfer programming in the whole of sim racing better than iRacing and better than rFactor in weight transfer department. I know they´re working hard to become an allround simulation experts so I´ll really look into this title! Their FFB is in a league of its own as well!

  • Jorge

and a pc version? give me a brake..

  • Todd

I’ll not expect this game as real as iRacing stock car but at least the physic can be accepted….just like WRC 2010 demo~

  • Big Ron

sounds promising. let´s see some screenshots and gameplay and we can judge it a bit better.

  • AC

this is console only, and as such will be aimed at 10 year olds who use cars in games as bumper cars, one to aviod :(

  • felipe

most people who owns a console owns a pc. I bet more kids play a pc than a console. if you cant own both just stop bitching about it and get over it!

  • Scorpean

I own both of these titles and you are correct about the weight transfer system (awesome). My concern would be the AI. The previous AI in both of the previous titles were far too agressive.

  • AC

    Your ignorance is amazing.

I hagve 2 consoles and an expensive gaming PC, but there are no real racing sims on console. The consoles just do not lend themselves to sim racing. The physics won’t even be close to the same league as Rfactor or Iracing. I don’t really understand why people think that it would.

I’m not saying it won’t be a good game as it might, but don’t pretend for a minute this is gonna be a sim.
And nobody try telling me GT5 will be a sim, my sides will split laughing.

Forza 3, and Ferrari challenge are just arcade racers, nothing sim like about them. They are good games, but not sims.

  • Seger Man

ill stick with NR2003 thank you very much!

  • Diego Andr3s / D@S

    se viene, se viene

  • bduddy

Apparently they’ve hired someone who worked at Papyrus, and EA when they actually made OK NASCAR games? Could be promising…

    Look who’s talking about ignorance

  • Wesley

i dont like the fact it isnt coming to th pc, you have all thes feautures which are jut useless on the consoles and onlymak sence with real simracing, which imo is much pore possible on the pc

  • tim

dude do you realize that they have been doing that for years
