The guys over at Eutechnyx have released the first NASACR The Game 2011 developer podcast, sharing some insight on the work behind the studio’s upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup title.
Even though the recording somewhat sounds like it has been made in a bathroom, the 33-minute podcast is well worth to be checked out as the guys discuss various topics. It’s revealed that the title will try hard to include as much NASCAR atmosphere as possible, including the traditional pre-race festivities and victory lane celebrations after the race.
Furthermore, the guys talk about their great access to the teams and drivers, feedback from the sim racing community and iRacing being one of the reasons why there’s no PC version of the upcoming title.
To wrap things up, a new preview image has been released on Twitter, showing a sample image from the title’s in-game photo mode, a feature that has been made popular by Gran Turismo & Forza Motorsport.
Developed by Eutechnyx & published by Activision, NASCAR The Game 2011 will include the 2010 & 2011 (post-release download) NASCAR Sprint Cup seasons. Features include a very detailed damage model, career mode & 16-player multiplayer mode. The title will be available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 & Nintendo Wii starting February 2011.
