NASCAR Heat – StockCar Brazil Mod Released

The guys over at The Mod Squad have released their StockCar Brazil mod for NASCAR Heat, keeping the now-free simulation fresh with new content. The mod brings Brazil’s most popular racing series to the simulation, putting drivers behind the wheel of 500hp V8-powered race cars.

The mod includes a nine-venue track pack and physics made with data directly from StockCar Brazil race teams, the mod can also be combined with any other track pack released by The Mod Squad.

Released in 2000, NASCAR Heat is still being kept alive by a very active modding community that adds new content and other improvements such as widescreen support to the simulation. Both the mods and the base version of NASCAR Heat are free to be downloaded on the Mod Squad website, sim racers who love American racing should definitely give this classic a try.

I could be wrong here, but aren’t those just DTM cars? If so, then why in the hell are they named stock cars?

Actually, I’m not wrong. I looked up the real cars for this series, and they look nothing like some of the car models in this mod. Some of the car models in this mod definitely are DTM models…..

Sorry but, you are wrong! I suspect you looked up the old cars they used in the series till 2008. The ones in the mod are perfect replicas of the 2009 versions.

Now the new cars are indeed quite similar to DTM’s.

This cars have nothing to do with Nascar!!!! We call them Stockcar because they use all identical chassis and just the bubble are different and identicle V8 engines!
They are much closer to DTM than even Touring Cars almost toping 300KMH in some circuits BTW there’s no polygamist oval tracks all races are in normal tracks!!!
Montoya change your title it’s misleading it’s like comparing Endurance Series and Clio Cup simply because both are release for rFactor!

Buddy….the name of the game that this mod is for is called NASCAR Heat, not misleading at all

Also, im sure it’s lost in translation, but Polygamist, means being married to multiple spouses….not sure how an oval track can have multiple wives

Guys, quick info on this release:

- Nascar Heat is the game for wich the mod is;

- Wikipedia is highly outdated on the series details (specially the pictures, they all from older cars, not ‘09 cars);

- “Nascar” and “Stock Car” terms are strongly related but, not necessarily synonymous;

depends in which country and what languange you are talking about in Brazil where this series is run no one thinks of Nascar when they here the word Stockcar but in US and in English they are related!

From where I got this? Well…. living in Brazil since I was born, being a hardcore series fan, having access to the real prototype (for measurements and references), manufacturer blueprints plus the complete JL Racing parts catalog which, by the way, were all used by me to build this mod.

legal!!! e aí vamos ter uma uma conversão para o rFactor? por favor diz que sim!!!
O que eu estava dizendo é que tinha informação que dava pra ver as diferenças nas especificações comparando com a inhaca da Nascar!
Tem gringo achando que é uma Nascar light ou algum assim como a Truck Series deles e é bom deixar claro que não tem nada a ver com as corridas de ovais deles!
Parabéns ótimo trabalho é bom ter material assim pra nós brasileiros jogarmos!!!

Hi koyzinho,

Nascar Heat has an excellent game engine and superb physics. The base version of the game can be downloaded for FREE and the more recent mods (including Stock Car Brasil) features high resolution capabilities just like rFactor or the other newer games.

So, why not Nascar Heat?

Give a try, I bet you wont regret. Even a portuguese speaking spotter/crew chief option is available.

Eae Blaxman, gostei muito do Trabalho q Fez com o Stock Car Brasil 2009, espero q n se importe, mas estou realizando o sonho do povo q joga f1c, um mod de stock car, convertido, desse, mod…

Bom, cara qro mto umas ajudas suas, pois os Arquivos .TEX, parece q tem uma forma de blokeio, nenhum programa reconhece…
