Ever since rFactor came out, various things have been simulated using its engine. From normal cars to buses, boats, soap box racers and lemons – Pretty much everything that moves has been experimented with in rFactor.
One thing that never seemed to work very well are motorbikes though. Several people started bike racing mods, none of these ever made it into something release-worthy though. Petykafiam seems to have made more progress though as the video below shows a MotoGP bike around Sachsenring.
Even though physics and everything else are kind of hard to judge from a video, this looks to be rather promising.

for a game that has no bike support that looks very close to the real thing….top quality
now if ISI could help just little bit with leaning animations it might become a serious bike game.

Coming along nicely
Would be cool if ISI would implement bikes in rF2. I’m still looking out for a bike game that actually has decent physics.

Sorry, but zero lean animations make me very suspect of this mod’s physics. But full kudos for the guy attempting this.

Ever try GP Bikes? It’s trying to become the rFactor of bikes. It’s still somewhat unfinished, but some people say it’s decent. I’ve never tried it:

Wow thats pretty impressive. But how it plays is another matter :) I’m not convinced a good bike mod can be made, simple because of the physics engine not designed for it. But still, pretty interesting.
The best bike game I have played was probably MotoGP: URT 2 on the Xbox, it was fairly realistic.
Hope it’s 500CC or World Superbikes

The physics are hard to judge? Nonsense… it’s obvious they’re quite off what a bike should handle like. I admire the effort the modders have put into this, but they really need to improve the physics A LOT if their aim is to have an actual bike simulated in rF.
