Montreal in Red Bull’s rFactor Pro Simulator – Video

The Formula One World Championship is returning to Montreal next weekend and as usual, the Red Bull Formula One Team has released a video of the upcoming track in their simulator.

The video shows Red Bull F1 driver Mark Webber driving and narrating a complete lap, giving us a chance to check out their virtual version of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Like four other Formula One teams, Red Bull uses the Pro-version of rFactor for their simulator that is used for driver and crew training and other tasks.

They seem to have no idea on what’s a quality trackupgrade

Geeez, they move the camera in an annoying way, spoiling an interesting movie. What were they thinking? Just give us a fixed view from the rear so we can see how the simulator moves in relation to the actions on the screen. I hate that hollywood style movement.

That THING on the horizon in the video is so spectacular

Shame on them that they didn’t your version!

Well it’s not just the visual things, the default ISI version was very inaccurate, I see they fixed some of these inaccuracies, but I’m not sure if they resized and profiled all the turns like I did, the original track was a good 50m or so too long from one end to the other, you cant really tell things like that in a video.

maybe the did not used it because the tarmac in the hairpin isn’t broken anymore in real life.

if your offering the use of your version free of charge Alex I’ll let them know.

Well I dunno, I’d have to wait a year before they release another video and I can go – see that – that’s my work
