Montreal 2008 – Previews

The Lonely is updating ISI’s Montreal track for rFactor, adjusting the home of the Canadian Grand Prix to resemble the real deal.

Changes will include a more realistic pit entrance and exit, new curbs, textures, trees and much more. As usual , SLN is pitching in his excellent textures, giving one of rFactor’s standard tracks an impressive makeover.

    A few things need changing that he’s not spoke about. #1 – S/F Straight should be wider than it currently is and #2 the 3rd chicane (one prior to final hairpin) needs to be tightened as its too open in ISI’s current one. This should be great, Alex has a great eye for accuracy. Keep it up mate.

    Actually Ryan the main straight does not really need widening, its prehaps half a meter to narrow, but not enough to warrant the effort. The 3rd chicane does need a bit of adjusting but once again not a great deal, it only needs tightening up a small amount.

    The major problem was the track was 50 to 100m to long from length to length. Once I fixed this everything else seemed to fit a lot better. Well apart from T1, which needed tightening up quite a bit.

    It has been moved closer along the straight between the second and third chicanes.

    Thats strange. From the OB cameras at the F1 event – the track just looked far wider.
