MMG F1 2007 – Updates Coming Up
Posted on March 2nd, 2008 in rFactor – 0 Comments
Roughly 30 hours after the release of the MMG F1 2007 mod, discussion about the mod and the surroundings are still in full swing. Here is the latest info from MMG about what will be coming up soon:
- Server Edition (all fixes including sounds & ferrari & renault fixes)
- Public edition (fixes for sounds & ferrari & renault fixes )
The server edition is aimed at leagues, making all cars equal by using the same physics. The fixed sounds will be welcomed by the community as the sound problems seem to be the mod’s biggest disadvantage right now. This (unofficial) fix here fixes the odd downshifting sound onboard, it does not fix the way too loud opponent sound and distorted sounding external sounds though.
There has also been a lot of fuss about the PLR-file tool. Plenty of people who used it ended up with screwed PLR files so make sure you bookmark yours before running the tool. If you don’t want to use the tool (like me), it is important to change the following lines in your PRL file by hand to make the AI work correctly:
Autocalibrate AI Mode=”0″ – if this is set to 1 AI is on training mode and won’t work for anything else.
AI Limiter=”0.10000″
AI Mistakes=”0.25000″
AI Realism=”0.49650″
Best AI results can be seen on the tracks in the MMG track pack. The fuss about those tracks is something I won’t even touch here. Lets just say it involves GTR2, CTDP and a lot of anger. And who wants to race on only five tracks anyways? With the above changes, the AI is perfectly usable on just about any track.
