RaceDepartment is one of the biggest sim racing forums – you should be registered
on there anyway.

What makes you think that’s MMG’s fault?

Any kind of problem like that should be addressed to RaceDepartment. The usual solution is to clear your cookies, or something like that. Try asking for help in RD’s forums instead of blaming the mod group for it…

The reason why Racedepartment got the exclusivity is because for the last 8-10 months, they have had over 100 of their league members helping us by beta testing this mod. RD Beta testers have spent countless of hours every day testing this mod online and offline and helping us with extensive feedback to make the mod as good as it is. In addition, they provided all online servers for the online testing and online events. It is only fair that they get to host the files exclusively for the first month as a thank you for all their help. If taking a few minutes to register to download the mod is too much for you, then don’t play it.

Günthar Rowe here, I hope you all enjoy the mod in it’s current release. I have had issues over the last few months that have limited my work on this and am very glad to see the League Edition released to the public.

Racedepartment are very poor, i’ve never been able to download anything from them and i’m a registered user!!!! Just tried getting this mod and as soon i logged in it said i’d exceeded my daily download limit…..MMG have really screwed up by using racedepartment

The reason for errors is simply becuase you have tried to download before you log in.

So the IP is registered as downloading already. Login first next time you try.

Hi Filipe. Well I was merely refering to the fact that theStig was bitching and moaning that he had to register to download which is really a stupid thing to bitch about. In regards to this daily limit thing, I am going to have a word with RD about it, its something I have not had any clue of, if it cannot be raised or fixed, I will make more mirrors. I apologize for the inconvenience and will try to get it settled as soon as RD staff are online.

IMO going exclusive isn’t the best way, mod makers can do what they want though. And yes, problem with the download here too (doesn’t show the filesize) and now I have “exceeded daily download limit”. Anyway it’s only until 31th so soon enough it’s widespread.

@All:
We have some problems with our download mod regarding limits for some time. I’ve reset certain settings as we speak.

You should be able to download max 5 files a day with no limit if you register.
Unregistered visitors don’t have access to the files, not to annoy but to protect ourself from visitors downloading via several sources and we ending up having no monthly traffic anymore. Hope you can understand this.

I had been registered for some time, hadn’t downloaded in weeks at least. Just once tried this download and my download limit is met. There is some problem I hope you can solve it, I’m not that bothered myself as I didn’t plan on playing on GTR Evo.

As usual another amateur operation by MMG. They FINALLY release a mod but people cant even download it. Typical ‘mak corp’ rubbish. Glad to see the mods finally finished, and that the one single guy who actually did the mod in your alleged ‘big modding group’ finally had time to finish it.

Petros even when someone makes a mod for you, your still too incompetent to even release it properly. You should have let him do that job as well.

But I can’t be bothered (yeah lazy, blame me!) to go there and find out what my username is and what my password is to get a mod which I maybe can’t download due to flawed DL-restriction… Megaupload, Mediafire, Filefront or whatever are just so much better alternatives…

But whatever… It’ll get there either if you want it or not!

Funny.. the mod has been downloaded 550 times already check how many online servers there are as of now:) but yet the 3 people on here are making the most noise about not being able to download.

I don’t know about servers, but each start of a (failed) download increases that counter.

Why would a download fail? are you having net trouble?

No problem. Tnx for fixing it (and the guy that actually fixed it). It works now and I had a few laps. Looks good. Some nasty low res. textures in cockpits though. Anyway I hope that the mode will be updated if future. Tnx for the mod! Going to drive it some more now

I’ve struggled with this issue for many many months…! I even wanted to donate, but never can I D/L from there.

However, at the Hotel tonight and a different IP and I’m D/L’ing…

Excellent mod. Top level and much better than Race ones. Physics are stunning and feels great. And the 7th gear workaround through MotecAdd it’s just incredible and works fine. Texture resolutions are very well balanced. If I miss something would be unnecessary to mention :). Thanks MMG this release demostrates that to be hurry it’s not recommended to get a good product.

First: Excellent mod, long awaited quality F1 for GTR Evo! It is amazing work–very professional and much appreciated by most of us in the sim community. All the people responsible should be proud of this content as it compares very well to the content Simbin makes and sells.

Second: Please ignore the complainers and gripers who post in forums like this. They appear to be small minded and big mouthed. Probably teenagers who don’t yet understand the effort it takes to do things like this while working and supporting yourself in a regular job etc. It’s hard to believe people can complain about a free product of excellent quality–even if their initial attempt to download it failed–how can you give grief to the developers who worked long and hard about something like that?

I just d/led at school, then took it home on my memory stick. 2mb a second at school, I had it d/led within 3 minutes.

Great mod and certainly worth the download! However, on my first try, the download failed. It failed one my second attempt as well. However, I waited for a day and re-downloaded-it worked this time! It’s a good thing this mod got released so soon and has good quality still !

Agree!! but I dont know if it should be called a conversion. Physics are brand new on that baby!! Cars feel absolutely fantastic!! big hurrra for Gunthar!!!!

Stupid question: I put the mod in the SteamApps/username/race 07 directory, but when I load the game I don’t see anything different. What should I do?

check that your patch looks like this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\kampferas\race 07\GameData\Teams\MAK_Corp\F107LE

or close to it….
