I haven’t fully tested it, but I’ve taken a look, and it’s MUCH better than the server edition 1. Congratulation, F1Racer :) You’ve worked a lot on this (that’s my impression) and you’ve done great I see. Only a few ridiculous things I miss. I’d love to see Red Bulls silverstone livery, the ability to take of the front wheel covers on the Ferrari.
But this mod is good ;)

No no not me Bjorn. I just did the renders and beta testing.
Phil the team are the ones to thank. They worked hellishly hard on this one.
The Ferrari wheel covers will be sorted out in a patch soon.
Right now yeah the early season car has the late season covers on but that will get sorted out.
Glad you like it though. That means a lot to the guys at MMG Im sure.

Ok F1Racer, you were right earlier. I just took a few laps in the BMW at Silverstone and I like it!
Physics feel good, I am able to feel and correct upcoming slides/spins, nice. Have to test more, but first impressions are good. Only downside for me is that it’s not meant for realfeel.
Sure people are gonna comment this weekend without driving, just because it’s from MMG, but this one really deserves a try. I think until MMG 2008 or CTDP 2006 is out, this one is gonna be my favorite!

Thanks GonZo, I appreciate that comment. I’m so glad you and others are enjoying it.
The 08 mod will have realfeel if I have any say in it :)
I think considering there is no realfeel, I use Strong FF in the upgrades and find it works pretty well.

Well done MMG. It’s bloody brilliant. Thanks!

It is very good, but the only niggle is, you get a slight tap and the car’s engine is destroyed. It happened with FSOne 2007 aswell, really annoying and not very good.

Hi,
Does this new version change something in the .plr (remember v.1 pe)?
Thanks.

Ooops, and do we style need the CLK_63_00.veh as an addon to be able to use the safety car
F1Racer
November 29th, 2008 at 22:07
trebor901: the default damage setting 50%. Make sure your’s isnt 100%. My personal one is set at 30%
romulus: No it makes no changes to the plr file. There are however recommended changes to be made to the plr file in the release notes. You can see that also on the description at rfc.
As for the safety car, I guess so. Its not made driveable by default.

So tired of these mods that recommend changes to the PLR file.
Yes, that’s the way. Make it so every mod has difference recommended settings.
Standardization guys. Look it up.

You don’t have to be so petty. You don’t NEED to change your PLR file.
They are only recommended changes to help you get the most from it and are therefore optional. Its a bit like recommended hardware on a game box. Its not necessary and if you choose not to make the changes it won’t degrade the quality of play for this mod.

Just took a ride with the Ferrari on Silverstone, and I have to say… It’s great, great feeling, feels right. I’ve not tested thoroughly but semi :) And the sounds… The internal sounds are awesome.

Yeah, thanks alot, MMG, realeasing this the day my computer commits suicide.
Using something that feels like an Amiga 500 to type this.
From the feedback it looks like a keeper. Congrats!

No RealFeel, no drive. It’s the standard for rFactor FFB now.

Great stuff, however there seems to be a small bug with the car physics.
I set up a testing session at Montreal (ISI’s version), added some AI drivers (Lewis joined, too) and then watched some TV cameras to check out the brilliant models you folks have created.
I was quite surprised to see Lewis doing a *barrel roll* along the car’s longitudinal axis when he hit the curbs on the turn in for the chicane before start / finish.
This happened a couple of times, the first time the car was lifted upon its left wheels, the second time Lewis was none the wiser and actually did the barrel roll as described above.
All the best,
hoover

@F1Racer:
Hi! I have the same problem like in GP2: no traction! Can you halp me again. Or tell me what I have to change …?
Bye!

button04 go to the upgrades bit when u select a car and install the traction control level you want.

hoover, try lowering the AI Aggression setting. Go as low as 30% and see what happens. That setting will affect it and ISI Montreal along with versions of Monaco are known to turn MMG AI suicidal :)
button04: Pick your car, then go into upgrades. There you have TC settings. You can pick 1-6 or wide range. 1 gives you the least TC, 6 will give you the most. Pick what is right for you.
Then when you go to race, while you are in your pit box, press F8 to adjust in-game TC. Try it on medium first and if you want less then go to low.
I find that emulating the real cars, I put Medium in-game and TC level 6 in the upgrades. If its Monza or track that is similar, you can use a lesser TC level. The upgrade options like in real life, are very much track dependant.

Wow!!
I’ve not felt this good a feeling in an F1 mod for a long time. Superb physics, plenty of grip and responsiveness, but will bite like an angry rattle snake when you push it too hard.
I love it. Well done all at MMG for a trully brilliant F1 experience.

F1Racer – you mentioned RealFeel + 08 mod? Interesting :)
Does it mean FINNALY we will have some F1 mod with all suspension links actually connected and not hovering in the air… What I’m wondering is, will the CarFactory or even TREX be used… That would be nice to see :)

November 30th, 2008 at 16:21
lovretta is right, if one finally uses those tools to make an f1 car, it’s probably going to be the first realistic f1 mod

lovretta, for this new MMG mod I use the controller.ini you shared at RSC and I find it one of the better F1 mods. Altough I am also waiting for the first good realfeel compatible F1 mod. It would be great if there was a realfeel F1 mod designed with carfactory AND TREX. If it would be as good as EOAA GT it would be very very great! Maybe MMG 2008 or CTDP 2006…

Great mod and physics!!
Make sure you guys lower the car alot, otherwise it looses alot of grip on the default setup.

Piece of work. A masterpiece comparable to CTDP2005 and iDT´s Champcar series.
I only wish visibel mirrors (a compromise – I know) but its absence dont really hurt this great mod.
Thanks MMG!

Great mod, but the fuel consumption is not right. The car needs more fuel per lap than it stated in the setupscreen.
Noticed that the AI also is struggling with this.
