Mclaren MP4-24 for Need for Speed Shift – Released

Cric & Kazumi have released another Formula One car for Need for Speed Shift, bringing FSONE 2009′s Mclaren Mercedes MP4-24 to Slightly Mad Studio’s popular driving title.

The conversion is their most impressive yet, coming with new physics, sounds and a fully working steering wheel display as you can check out in the video below.

The mod requires the patch 1.02 for Need for Speed Shift to be installed, more installation instructions can be found at the download location.

Driven by Heikki Kovalainen and world champion Lewis Hamilton, the MP4-24 failed to match the speed of the front-running cars during most of the 2009 F1 season despite making use of the new KERS energy recovery system.

    Why did they use the helmet of Fernando Alonso?? that’s strange. Other then that it looks really good.

    Great vid and great work. Just one little thing. It just seems like the when in cockpit view the front tires seem a bit close. I never sat in one of these things in real life so I have no idea what it’s supposed to look like but it just seems that way to me. Man I wish I had a PC that could handle this game. I would definitely like to try this out. Those guys did a great job with this.

    Cockpit view is good other camera views are crap I think but good mod I do not have this game though. Shift 2 is going to release in Q1 2011 *DONT_KNOW*

    How do you setup SHIFT so that it has a clean UI like in this video and doesn’t display on the screen all the stupid “points” and stars and all that other crap? I stopped playing it because I couldn’t get rid of that, I just want the driving and no distractions.

    Easy, in menu or while racing (press escape), go to OPTONS -> GAMEPLAY -> HUD -> Display Level OFF

    In replays u can click hide controls or something at bottom
