Last weekend, Monza was the sight of a a rather unusual motorsports event as the Italian Grand Prix venue hosted the Monza Rally Show.
The event attracted several high-profile Rally drivers that competed on the famous Italian road course, among them two time World Champion Marcus Grönholm. Also on site was the Italian Richard Burns Rally community RBR-online.it, bringing two simulators with them where guests and drivers had the chance to try the still-popular simulation.
Among the people trying the simulator was Grönholm as you can see on the photos below. Despite being on the market since 2004, Richard Burns Rally is still the benchmark rally simulation today, being kept alive and fresh by a very active modding community.
The event banner that can be seen on the photos has been autographed by lots of known drivers during the event, the artwork for the banner was made by none other than community screenshot artist 6e66o.

That would be pretty cool. It is amazing that RBR still not have any competitors.

Both amazing and sad… It proves the quality of RBR and also lack of interest of game/simulator developers. I hope somone will make succesor soon.

I don’t think there is going to be a replacement for RBR. This game requires real work just to stay on the road. Something like that can’t sell well
