Mainz-Finthen – Reality Check Gallery

Com8 has already shown us several very impressive preview shots and videos of his Mainz-Finthen track project for rFactor.

Now, he has released a bunch of comparison shots that show off the track’s virtual version side by side with real photos to demonstate the accuracy of his work.

Located near the German city of Mainz, the former US Army Airfield was used as a DTM venue from 1984 until 1990. Com8’s version will be modelled after the 1989 version of the DTM event, once completed the track will also make its way to GTR2 and GTR Evolution.

    its so nice to see Com8 giving us those awesome tracks for free when iRacing charges over 20 dollars for tracks which doesnt come close to this quality!

    hmm, AIW and Cams still in the works – I also gotta do some test races yet .. maybe 2-3 weeks? :cool:

    what happened to Nords 2009 project? 1 year and 3 months has passed since GTR EVO release, so now we can have Evo’s content (tracks at least) in rF, am i right ?

    iRacing don’t charge $20, most they charge is $14.95. Also the tracks in iRacing are laser scanned = bumps and everything in the right place.

    This does look very good though, looking forward to racing around it when its been released :)

    The quality looks amazing!

    You can’t compare it to iRacing but its astonishing what one can do!
