Lola T280 UH1 for rFactor 2 – Preview Video

PIXSIM has released a new preview video of their Lola T280 UH1 for rFactor 2.

The team was present at a simulation expo in Paris where several accomplished sim racers and real race car drivers gave the historic car a try.

Feedback from the testers was very encouraging as the mod moves on to beta testing. You can check out footage of the simulator run below, showing the car in action at Sebring.

The T280 was build to the Group 6 regulations for sports prototypes, the car is powered by a 3 liter Cosworth DFV engine, delivering 450hp.

Ah yes the old 3 screen 9000000 degree FOV !

You would think that someone that goes to the effort of setting up three screens would also do research into setting up the FOV to get the best realism.

It will certainly be interesting to play this mod and see if it suffers from some of the G25/G27 issues many people are having with RF2.

Ah, now we’re talking. Driving this around VLM’s Le Mans ’77 (if and when that comes), ought to be brilliant.

Anyone know why this was recorded in a wind tunnel? Glad to see the Thrustmaster used here. Great wheel. Looks like a cool car to drive, too.

Anyone else notice the GT wheel he is using? It looks to be a different version than the one I have. Mine has the Ring at the top center. The wheel he’s using has two rings just below the two side grips. I wonder if that’s some sort of UK version or something. Or perhaps it’s a new wheel coming out?
