These new “screenshots” are looking like a photoshop fake, the shots are always the same since a few months, and nobody can verify the reality of the info, because it’s no more on the logitech website… Perhaps I am mistaken, but I hope that Logitech will doing more than that for the g27, 6 buttons on the wheel is not really an evolution, so it’s difficult to believe that…

But as usual, wait & see…

EDIT: OK, it’s not a fake… The g27 as just four more buttons on wheel and lost the sequential shifter…I think it’s better to buy a G25 at a good price :( …

Yep, it's MS's fault, not Logitechs that there is no 360 support on the G25 and highly unlikely for the G27. MS wont give them the licence to do it.

mikem: I doubt the improvement Logitech may have done to the G27 would approach the same level as some of the highly regarded mod for the G25. For example, I find the FFB on my G25 to be rather weak especially if it’s being used with my PS3. And I’m not so big on the Fanatec wheel so perhaps my best solution (instead of the G27, assuming the FFB is stronger) is to send it someone like the ARC_Team and for around 200 euro, I’ll be getting a much improved G25.

I agree with MikeM here. How about an ARC_Team G27 instead?!

Is there a way to only buy the wheel. Because pedals and shifter are just the same and i won’t buy a complete set just for getting the new wheel. Anyone have some thoughts about this?

Agreed. When/if my G25 gets too old and starts going wrong (like most of my logitech game controllers) I will probably get this one, until then i am more than satisfied with the g25.

They’d be shooting themselves in the face if they got rid of the sequential shifter, they know it’s almost universally used in ALMS/Rolex/WTCC etc. Nevergonnahappen.com.

My problem with the G25 isn’t the gears – it’s the chintzy build quality of the shifter, the internal springs are thin crap, they break easily, and the whole mechanism is rattles and generally cheesy. After a while the up/down shift points on the sequential lever misaligned so the tiniest touch to the shifter can cause a downshift.

Oh yes and the two chain solution that gives you a dead feeling force-free zone on centre regardless of FFB settings… if the G27 did nothing but fix that they would have my money.

On the second screen capture you can read “embreagem helicoidal”.
I probably managed to find out something new about this new wheel: It is not belt driven.
Apparently it uses helical gears which are quieter and stronger than conventional/spur gears.

Skazz: The shifter unit not only has no rotating switch for 6-speed to sequential, it also has no led on the left of the d-pad which on the G25 unit is there to tell you you are in sequential mode.

bentleyv8t: Excuse me, but where is the knob to switch between sequential and normal use of the six speed? Unless there is only the six speed and the paddles?

I was thinking that the round thing where the switch is on the G25 might be a button to choose between sequential and normal but the lack of the led and the diagrams would lead you to believe that option may be gone.

Agreed, if it’s belt driven I’m sold, otherwise they will have to provide a separate sequential shifter and a much improved H-shifter to warrant paying more than about £160. Yet I have a funny feeling it might go on sale for £200+ when the time comes which would be a major rip-off considering their production process for over half the product is obviously the same as the G25.

Those LEDs will already be a pain in the arse to configure with every mod I bet.

Yeah I gotta agree here. I have the G25 too and this wheel looks as hard as the first one is. This wheel came out too late and would be tempting to get when my G25 breaks down, but now theres a Fanatec GT3 with clubsport pedals and that beats it hands down.

But for now, still more then satisfied with my G25
