Even though the modding attention is slowly shifting away from GTR2, racers will be getting their hands on a new quality mod soon as SCCA1981 has received permission to convert trellet.mod’s Legends Cars mod from rFactor to Simbin’s GT simulation.
Legends Cars are a popular racing series for inexperienced weekend racers, giving them a solid and cheap base to race with. All cars use the same chassis and sport 10 different body styles, derived from popular stock cars from the 30s and 40s. The cars are powered by 1300cc Yamaha motorcycle engines with a 5 speed sequential gearbox and top out at 200 kph.
Below are a few screenshots of the rFactor version so you can get an idea of what to expect. What these screens don’t show is that this really is an extremely fun and well-driving mod.

really nice cars, scca1981
yes, it’s for gtr2, but will we see this mod for evo too in the near future?
GTR2 is a nice game an i have spent many hours with this great sim, but since evo came out, i switched to this, ’cause i think it gives a better feeling how the cars react. (imho)

Looks as good as the rFactor version, scca, great work. Shame there’s not too many good ovals for gtr2.

Tiger, check out nogrip track section. There’s probably 10-15 oval tracks available for download. If you looking for dirt tracks maybe i’ll try to get some for the mods release.
