Lakeside Raceway 2009 – New Previews

Mike Cantwell is working on overhauling his Lakeside International Raceway for rFactor, bringing the Australian track to 2009 specifications. Changes include a wider front straight, new buildings and other details.

Interestingly, Mike’s rFactor version is officially by venue owners Queensland Raceways Holdings Pty Ltd – A rare thing in modding. Once the rFactor version is done, the track is planned to be converted to GT Legends, GTR2 and GTR Evolution.

Located 30 kilometers outside of Brisbane, the 2.40 kilometer track incorporates 8 turns. After hosting two occasions of the Australian Formula One Grand Prix and many years of Australian Touring Car Championship competition, usage of the track is now limited to club racing with a maximum noise of 95db.

    Excellent track period. Twas probably the first track I added to GPL actually, nice little fun layout there, not to mention the scenery.
