Two photos have surfaced, showing NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Joey Logano giving Eutechnyx’s NASCAR The Game 2011 title a try.

The second shot is in high resolution, allowing us to take a first look at the title’s HUD and gameplay interface.

Developed by Eutechnyx & published by Activision, NASCAR The Game 2011 will include the 2010 & 2011 (post-release download) NASCAR Sprint Cup seasons. Features include a very detailed damage model, career mode & 16-player multiplayer mode. The title will be available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 & Nintendo Wii starting February 2011.

Honestly, this looks quite arcadey… We won’t see until we get some gameplay impressions though.

    So, where’s the steering wheel?

  • Jezza

i do somewhat agree with that comment, but also being on console as nascar do you really want to be a full sim? remember there are a million kids that will end up on line with no idea about bump drafting and they will only want to see wrecks

It looks pretty realistic to me mate! Logano – 15/24… Sounds about right ;) .

Awesome left hand turns… now let’s see some right handers…

  • Jezza

believe it or not for the most part on alot of ovals the drivers spend nearly half the race steering right.

    ?  *DONT_KNOW*

  • xmurrx

actually jezza is correct, they do spend most of their time steered right. they must steer right to go straight.

  • guest

… and that is why sim racers are misinformed on what is accurate and what isn’t. :(

  • RKipker

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking… WTF, a Pro Racer racing with a GamePad… So Lame!

  • Jezza

What do you mean by that? Its true that they steer right on the straights. They also steer right in the IRL. Its not incorrect information you can not only see it on tv, they even talk about it.

A majority of the general public believe its all just turning left, while it appears that way it is definatly not the case. The camber and suspension setup forces them to turn right on the straight otherwise the car would travel to the infield, thats why it appears as though the cars are crabbing sideways up the straights (the back right corner of the car sticks out towards the outside wall).

If the sim community is so called misinformed on this information then i guess the profesional drivers who actually race the cars are misinformed also!!!
