IZOD Indycar Series 2010 1.1 – Released

AOWSS and Michael Peters have released a new version of their IZOD Indycar Series 2010 mod for rFactor that brings the 2010 IRL season to the simulation.

The new version adds suits and helmets for all Indycar drivers to the mod alongside some fixes and physics changes as listed below.

Changelog:

- Red Option Tires models added.
- Fixed Road Course/Short Oval Rear Wing model to more accurate modeling, (does not affect the template).
- Driver suits and helmets added.
- Drafting Physics edited.
- Indy Physics edited.

The mod includes all cars and drivers of the 2010 season and comes with brand new physics that have been made in co-operation with real Indycar teams. A template to paint your own car is provided, please make sure to uninstall all previous versions of the mod before using version 1.1.

Following the end of Champcar after the 2007 season, the Indycar Series has once again become the United States’ sole high-profile open-wheel racing series. The IRL utilises Honda-powered Dallara chassis, featuring well-known drivers such as Dario Franchitti, Tony Kanaan, Danica Patrick and others.

    Yea, my friend and I enjoy Indy Car 2009 the best also. We’ve raced the 2010 several times and enjoy it, but not as good as the 2009 version. 2009 is the best.

    I just tried it (with keyboard, damn you Fanatec ;) ). I like it. Sounds, graphics all seam o.k. And I’m guessing the physics are o.k. too.

    I apologize for the recent comments. I’ve never commented on anything before and it appears a exploit in my network allowed someone to use my account to post a comment here. I respet Mike and I like all the American Open-Wheel Mods in rFactor. I’ve fixed the problem, needless to say, but I warn you to be careful when linkin your facebook here. I don’t like using my real name anyway for personal reasons, but anyway, disregard the comments, it’s perfectly okay if you don’t like this mod. Luckily Sam caught it in time.

    Unfortunately one of the hard drives in the server you’ve decided to start
    failing, Which Means we’re back for now, But I expect it will most
    Likely crash again in the next FEW hours.

    We’ll be moving to a new server with a hard drive setup Stronger
    Shortly, Which Means There Will Be Some downtime over the next day or
    two as I copy across the site and the DNS is reset.

    Once We Have a new server up I will be closing the current server to Prevent it crashing again whilst I copy the data over.

    Worst Comes to Worst If we do have complete backups of the site and
    That are Taken daily database and stored on a remote server, so We Can
    Restore from One of Those Without Losing More Than A Few hours of data.

    That’s odd to hack into someone’s account just to mildy diss a free mod. Anyway. I have not played these mods yet so I am looking forward to seeing how these simulated Indy Cars drive. Thanks.

    I guess you could say I have some ‘haters,’ but that’s not for anyone to care about anyway. I hope you enjoy the new mod just as much as Peters’ mods.

    How do I get the AI to run Speedway wingsettings on i.e. FMS Atlanta or FMS Texas? They do so on Indy 500.

    This mod is not configured to run with the FMS/SCE/JNS tracks at all. It’s configured to run with our trackpack on our forums.
