It’s Just a Game – Or Not?

In the following video taking from a SPEED TV broadcast, stock car driver Michael McDowell talks about his experience with sim racing and how playing ARCA RE/MAX Simracing helped him to adjust to the ARCA tracks. It worked out great as McDowell won four races in his first full ARCA season.
Since then, he has come a long way as McDowell made his way into the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the world’s premier stock car series. McDowell will be driving the #00 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota Camry this weekend at Martinsville. He has never driven on the Virginia short-track but with his kind of preparation, it should be no problem at all.
