iRacing is great, blows every other sim away.

As a real racer, $13 a month to race is chump change. I spend more than that for admission per week at a real track.

this will come out and at first will be the it game but after people open there eye’s and see how much dry this game will run them it will die away not a bad looking game i play it but when the crack it this is call the internet and it will get cracked!!!

Get out here. Hope this one fails, really. Not because the game itself, that looks like a very interesting piece of software. But go the hell with this subscription format thing. That’s lame to have to pay 15 bucks for a new car and 25 for a new track.

If they (Papyrus team) were smarter, they would go into a Aeria games sort of way. Releasing the game for free and charging for the premium content. That would make a lot more sense.

I actually thought it looked like a really good concept, so I suppose I’m very much in the minority here.

I don’t want to come off as being greedy or anything, but could someone please set me up with an invite? I’m fascinated by whats been done with it and I’d quite like to try it out, irregardless of the subscription cost.

Sure iRacing isn’t made for the people who are racing rarely. But it’s the same like pay-TV or MMORPG games. You only pay the monthly subscription if your interest is big enough and your are willing to use it. To judge this sim before it’s even released is nonsense. Can’t wait to take a first ride. Someone invite me plz :cry: ?

The think that is different about iRacing is that they are offering a service. They are running all the servers, webpage, bandwidth, car models and tracks. Sure you have to pay extra for tracks but from the looks of it the tracks will set a new standard. If isn’t cheap to pay all the licensing fees to “officially” laser scan a new track. Clearly I would rather not pay a subscription but I fully understand that there is an ongoing cost the iRacing will have. I plan to buy into iRacing. If I feel like they aren’t providing the extra content then I may drop my sub. I am not just going to write it off without trying it though. That is just silly. And no I am not a snob. I just know how much enjoyment I get out of SimRacing and is totally worth $18 to me. Now, can I get an invite? hahaha

Oooooo, beam me up snotty! After reading some of the comments by people I can only describe as “iRacing sim” snobs, I think I will steer well away from this product.

These people obviously think that they are a cut above others because they have more money than some.
Also the cheapskate comments by a member of RSC’s admin are a disgrace. IRacing is welcome to him and his “type”!

Idea is fantastic, the pricing is ridiculous.

These people need to come down to planet earth.

Its a shame because only a “rich” select few will bother with this, but there again maybe Kaemmer and his mates think they are too good for Joe Public anyway and they only want a select few to play this sim.

I also agree. It’s just too expensive. I hope as a community sim racers will pass on this just to show that subscription fees will not work for racing games.

rubbish!!! what’s the point in paying for every car and every track this is nothing but a money making program i was looking forward to this game but that list at one point got over 250 dolors if you wanted all the tracks and car. this is nothing but crap not allot of people will but this game sorry guys wrong move
