iRacing.com is in the process of setting up a Australian base of race-hosting servers in Sydney to better accommodate iRacing subscribers from Australia and New Zealand.
To honor the occasion, new members from down-under will be able to use a special “3 months for $25″ rate when joining the most famous Australian iRacing member – Marcos Ambrose.
The former V8 Supercars champion has made the switch to racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup, currently enjoying a successful first full-schedule season in the world’s most successfull oval racing series. Ambrose is now partnering with iRacing.com to help get more of his fellow countrymen interested in sim racing.
“iRacing is an amazing simulation system and it has helped me enormously as I’ve tackled my first year in NASCAR Sprint Cup competition,” Ambrose said. “It’s the closest thing to racing in the physical world that you can get. There is a growing list of professional drivers – including guys I race against every week, like A.J. Allmendinger, Brad Keselowski and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. – who use iRacing.com to fine-tune their skills, especially before heading to a particular track.”
