Nikolos Aegeus has released a new spotter pack for iRacing, improving the simulation’s standard spotter.
His pack has been optimised to kick in quicker and more accurately, the new spotter will work on both ovals and road courses. The pack is based on real life race sounds recorded at Dover International Speedway, adding another touch of realism to iRacing.
iRacing members can follow the download link below, detailed instructions on how to get started with the pack are included.

A spotter on a road course? Yeah, that’s realistic, all right …

Are you sure? The topic still says 2.0…
Paul, it is somewhat realistic. The cup teams use spotters at road courses like Watkins Glen and Ganassi Racing has been using spotters during the Rolex 24 too.

So they are allowing Mods on iRacing now? Seems to me they are deviating from their fair racing mantra.

That’s interesting… I did not know that either.
Well Paul, you know those lazy NASCAR boys!! I guess they can’t use their mirrors as well as your IRL guys :)

Chris: We’ll see this weekend in Kansas! How did Long Beach go for you? I hope successful. Will you be at Indy this year? Drop me a line!

iRacing has allowed the user to use custom spotter packs. I’m glad of this as I never liked the original spotters in any games. I always used the Jimmie Johnson pack, but I will give this one a go too. This isn’t really a mod in the sense we tend to think of mods. Just allowing different spotters for driver preference.
