Alexease has created another one of the ever-popular reality comparison videos. This time, we get to compare iRacing’s recently released Sebring International Raceway with real life on-board footage.
Is iRacing’s newest creation as realistic and spot on as their other circuits? Find out by watching the video below.

I do not think impressive.
For example, there are many videos of the mod CTDP 2005 compared with reality and are accurate, and is a mod created by amateur people (but the quality of the mods CTDP is professional
)

GeraArg, what are you talking about? CTDP is a car mod and this article is a comparison between sim track and a real track. Clearly you do not have any credibility with a unintelligent statement like that.

I think it’s very close to the real thing, probably as close as you can get. One thing is for sure: it is much better than the rFactor version .

Well as the rFactor version is really about 5+ years old one would hope so.

The Lonely: I know in the past you have said you have no plans to work on Sebring anymore unless you do a scratch. Any plans for a scratch? :)

incredibly real :!:
All those skid marks on track and stuff..
This is certainly the next level in track creating.
They should build the Nordschleife (or at least some other european Tracks) + a Porsche and i would buy it instantly

Well I’m pretty impressed
Looks like this is the new generation of Tack simulations,I still don’t think it warrants the monthly fee for my amount of use personally, but does that mean this is the sort of thing to be able to expect from perhaps rFactor2 and the next Simbin PC project ?,
If so I’m mighty excited,I guess the limits are what peoples PC’s can handle and the increments of realism and graphics that can be switched off, what are the pc requirements for iracing though ?,surely they have to also think about this ?

I would also point out that the video of the real life footage is fairly mucky and blurred,so will make a comparison video from a sharp pc screen look good, but still nice comparison

IMO the Limit is the Budget of developers.
I dont think we will see such tracks in the next ISI/Simbin Releases.

6e66o: Yeah I don’t think iRacing’s tracks are doing anything rF can’t do. rF and rF2 both have the potential to have tracks like this. It just takes money to strike up a deal with the the track owners to let them have full access to the track with all the equipment.

I think its a tad more than that,The colours just look right, usually the tracks although turn for turn ect look good it always looks like a pc (almost cartoon like),the colours on this look closer to real life/tv,ie lighting and sunlight ect,if you understand what I mean ?

Looks good indeed. I might try it out if/when I tire of rFactor league racing. No point in joining now, wouldnt have time to race.
