iRacing.com users can get their hands on a brand new American road course today as iRacing has added the Sebring International Raceway to their lineup of available tracks.
Located in Florida, Sebring is one of the USA’s well known motorsport venues, hosting the annual 12 hour sports car race in March. The track is a rather though one as the raceway is located on a former airfield, most of the circuit utilises concrete pavement with plenty of bumps that have already knocked out the bolts and pieces of many cars. Sports car veterans know that 12 hours of racing at Sebring are as hard as running 24 hours at Le Mans.
The track is available in three different layouts including the one currently used for the 12 hour race. Fans of North American road courses will be happy to hear that Road Atlanta and Mosport will also be making their way into the iRacing simulation in due time.

I still think that iR is BS… Making people pay way to much money for tracks and cars. I would love to drive this track, but I’m not gonna pay for is :S

Thought much the same way……….until I tried it. I’ll happily pay £100 + a year as it puts any sim before it firmly in the shade. I thought nothing would make me part from my beloved rFactor but now I can’t stand to drive it.
Lag free racing without the numptie driving is just bliss.
Check this. This is a list of real drivers using iracing at some point.
AJ Allmendinger
Alex Gurney
Brad Keselowski
Dale Earnhardt Jr
Juan Pablo Montoya
David Ragan
Jack Roush Jr

If it’s good enough for Monty then that’s fine by me.
The only people dissing the sim are those that won’t put their hands in their pockets.

It would not be fairer than the monthly fee is a little higher but that any new content is FREE?
At this rate, in the future are going to charge up to the races in which it participates.
Sorry for my poor english.

Do you guys understand the work, time, and money it takes to create these tracks?

Would it hurt to be less America-centric?
America has some good tracks dont get me wrong but would it hurt to have a few more tracks from round the world.
In that 18 million budget did they include plane tickets to get to Europe and maybe just maybe scan Brands Hatch or Spa Francorchamps?
Oh well. The waiting for something truly interesting continues.

However it would be good for them to scan Long Beach while they are doing the rounds amongst US tracks.

Americas is a continent, stretching from Canada to Argentina…
The iRacing focused on tracks on United States of America.
If anyone has any doubt of this, seek a world map, not bad review from time to time

agree!
Some european tracks/ cars would be nice. I will discontinue my account, because until now this sim has nothing special that it’s worth paying for.
