iRacing.com – Riley Mk XX Joins the Pack

Posted on July 19th, 2008 in

iRacing.com has announced an impressive addition to the vehicle lineup in their online-based simulation as the Riley Mk XX Daytona Prototype will be making its way into the simulation too.

Powered by various engines including Ford and Pontiac, the Riley is the benchmark in Rolex Series Sports Car racing, clinching wins and various championships since 2004. The Riley is a logical addition to iRacing.com as the simulation includes several tracks on which the Rolex Sports Car Series races on, making the Riley the perfect training tool for present and future Grand Am drivers

The iRacing.com team visited Riley Technologies in Mooresville, North Carolina to scan the car and make sure it’ll be properly transfered into the virtual world. The car will be available for all iRacing.com subscribers later this year, adding some serious sports car racing to iRacing.com.

Oh I can’t wait for the “I will never pay” line from the usual folks. I am sure there will be some genius that spouts off about how iRacing is soon to die and that no one will pay anymore. Yawn.
