Diesels are relevant in motorsports only because they are turbocharged. And if you strap 4 huge turbos even to an electric shaver, it will go fast. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against turbo diesels but it pisses me off that they are compared to naturally aspirated gasoline engines and everyone pisses their pants about how great they are.

BSR-WiX: this will be a popular one, believe me. as for the price? a bargain. If i go for a drink and take a leak i usually lose more then 15 dollars :-)

ScHiRoCk: Diesels are great on a racetrack . time you start watching endurance races. Check the ALMS and the LMS .. then find a petrol car that matches the diesels.

Isn't it supposed to be a FWD vehicle? So in my opinion it drives not really 'better' than the solstice.. but might be more accessible and easier to handle on the limit. Can't wait to give it a try! ;)
