:ooo: Vkt is just a troll. :ooo:

Only spamming and crying at subjects about GTRe, iRacing etc. Everything that doesn't fit in 'his' rFactor are trolled.

We better not give him attention anymore.

Well, I’m pretty sure that there a lot of european tracks you’ve tried before :P
</blockquote>

You are probably right. Loads of them probably. I was thinking of some of the GP ones like Monaco, Donnington, Spa, Imola, etc etc. I'm sure iracing will develop further across the water eventually.....but there is plenty to have a go at the moment.

When you compare with rfactor, GTR etc, $25 a track is steep. However, I think its worth it, as you get to race some of the best online racers in the world in a fair and competitive environment. Every .1 of a second counts.

I sound major fanboy...and perhaps I am a little. Just cant rate it highly enough though.

Anyone sitting on the fence wondering whether to take the plunge, part with one months subscription and also treat yourself to the Skip Barber. bang round a few races in the Solctice and move up to the Skippy. If you dont stick with it after that, thats fine, but its worth giving it a go for the sake of $35.

After that it will cost you a fortune, your marriage and any social life you might have had. Still worth it though.

FFB is amazing by the way and adds so much to the feel of the game.

Hi Guys - just signed up on here as I just had to make a comment on this. British 37 year old who has raced everything from Motor Mania on a C64 through to Geoff Crammond Grand Prix etc etc and beyond.
I have found the holy grail with iracing. been waiting for a sim like this for years. Been a member since March 09.
I dont like parting with my hard earned cash, but you get what you pay for, and nothing gets as close to the real world in terms of heart pumping action. Give this sim a chance and I guarantee you wont look back. (maybe sideways)
I have nothing against any other sim out there, and will give anything a go. Spent £££ over the years doing so.
I know iracing wont suit everyone. However, if you are the kind of guy who craves for some 'serious' close and idiot free racing, then this is for you.
Wouldnt mind a few more european tracks although its nice to run a few tracks I havent tried before.

"The horrible train wreck that ARCA Sim Racing is"? Please, you must be Dave Kammerer or whatever the hell it is. I race in 2 leagues that race ARCA. One league I race 3 nights a week. The worst turnout is 18-20 cars. Typically there are 25 or more. The other league is always 30 plus cars. Plus I can pop into my choice of open servers with several cars Also, the numbers have only gotten better recently. iRacing was far from complete when it came out also, but the difference is with iRacing you PAY for the updates, whereas they're FREE for ASR. So I'll say it after not having played it-simply because some ARSE like you wants to come in and bash everything else-iRacing SUCKS! Now for sure I will never spend a dime on that piece of crap totally based on NR2k3.

And BTW Dave, you might check out ARCA Sim Central's forums...there's some things coming soon that will make the pay to play iRate-ing obsolete when it comes to ovals.

"All ISI have done is produced a game engine that every other developer who licensed it then kicked their ass with."

Obviously you missed the horrible train wreck that ARCA Sim Racing is. That miserable piece of crap game couldn't and never did kick the ass of anything. So making your stupid and uniformed statements puts you into the same group of "arrogant arses".

And how is ISI engine based Turismo Carretera selling?

Its great to read comments from someone who really knows sim-racing like you.

iRacing is proof there really is one born every minute.

Sim Racing for Suckers.

As for RF2 killing it... Please. Not word one from Gjon's mouth has mentioned anything worthwhile. It's all been interface stuff and pretty pictures. If they actually produce an AI that doesn't rear end you all the time and actually fights for position, that'd be a start!

Kaemmer may be an arrogant arse (and I've been told that by people who know the guy) but at least when it comes to sims, he knows his stuff. (His rape of the NR2003 community not withstanding.)

Personally for oval racing I think ARCA is the best thing out right now. I also read a post from Zippy (from ASR) indicating in a round about way that they are working closely with ISI on updating their SIM to an rFactor2 system once it comes out. I still thoroughly enjoy GTR2 when it comes to GT or open wheel racing, with due respect given to rFactor. I've just always preferred the feel of GTR2 personally. I've never tried iRacing. I've heard good, and bad about it. Fact of the matter for me is though, that between GTR2 and ARCA, I get my fill of racing. Add in certain mods for rF, a little FS9, and some AXIS and ALLIES and I've got what I need...without a monthly fee!

Just wanted to add more feedback, I am a big GTR2/GTREvo/rF fan and I always swore I wouldn't do iRacing since I don't believe in subscription gaming, then when I saw the iRacing 1 month Radical trial posted here I decided to try it just so I would have first hand knowledge of it when commenting about it... turns out I really liked the iRacing experience, lots of really great pick up races at all hours of the day which is great for someone like me who doesn't have enough time to commit to a league, and the physics, ff and tracks are also top notch, overall I had such a blast during the trial that surprisingly I decided that it was expensive but worth it to me after all, so I signed up for the 1 year deal which with the $60 in credits works out to $8/month, overall it's expensive when compared to rF and it's not perfect but it's been definitely more than worth it compared to most other things I'd spend $8 for each month, I've had the best sim racing month of the last few years, with at least one clean fun pickup race every night this month. I still love GTR2/rF/GTREvo and will be buying rF2 as well (I will support all good sims ), I'm sure it's not for everyone, and everyone has the right to their own opinion, but I'm glad they have the free month trial and that I was willing to actually try it otherwise I would have missed a very fun sim mainly from just comparing it to the awesome cost/value that other excellent sims have been, but not necessarily comparing it to other things I pay for (coffee, cabletv etc.)

Stephen: well , we all have are own opinions, thats thrue.
Virtual Racing is no Real Racing. thats also thrue. You cant simulate the real factor, however, if there is one thing that comes close, as far as strategics, track acuracy , and competitive adrenalin is concerned it is iRacing. I do know my part of what Racing is. i have been involved in GT racing for more then 15 years. If you say you find the other points in league racing, i still think you have no clue.
but as usual in all our discussions, there is no good or bad , right or wrong. because we are all champions in one thing, and that is worshipping our own opinion. of that i am as guilty as you. look arround ... apple vs PC , Windows vs Linux ...Ati vs nvida... same discussions everywhere.
So in the end of the day i can only wonder .. what do we love more ? promoting our own favourite , or bitching about the ones we dont like. :-)

<strong><a href="#comment-18721" rel="nofollow">Dave</a></strong>:
If iRacing added a bunch of European tracks and a couple more GT or F1 styled cars then the same whiners and complainers would just find something else to bitch about. There are just certain people who wouldn’t be happy with anything.

</blockquote>

Amen.

Stephen: Man .. you have no idea .
</blockquote>

I tested it during 2 months (was among beta testers) and quit. I'm a huge motorsports fan but sorry, the iRacing system has nothing to deal with real motorsports, its pure fantasy. And all the others good points you mention, i found them in league racing ... for free :tongue:
